Above: Untethered 1-5, 14" x 16" (including the top image) is a series of five laser-cut woodblock prints with inkjet on Shiramine paper. This series was created at the Anderson Ranch during a week long workshop. The prints read from 1 to 5 in an animated story about inhabiting a female body in current times. To see the prints in more detail, click here:

A week at Anderson Ranch in Snowmass Colorado
Anderson Ranch is an art center in the mountains near Aspen Colorado. They host guest artists to conduct workshops all summer long. I had a great week printing with Jimin Lee, head of the print media program and director of the Contemporary Print Media research center at the University of California Santa Cruz. The focus was relief printmaking combining traditional wood carving processes with digital technology, including inkjet printing and laser-cutting, and printing on traditional Washi and Hanji

Collaboration with potter Nanette Reilly
I met Nanette during an open house at my studio in the Screw Factory last year. Nanette was interested in a collaboration using my lino blocks to make impressions on clay. The above is one of the results of the process. I hope to have several of these pieces in my open house this Fall. Details to come.
