'Trees-R-Us' Event Sat., August 11

An Eco-Spirituality Workshop

Aug. 11 - 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Elk Haven Wellness Center
in Brevard

Eco-spirituality tells us We are all one

Recognizing and appreciating our Oneness with the natural world makes it possible for us to receive the heart-full invitation of trees:  To reconnect with our core humanity. We may have forgotten optimism and hope, but trees can remind us they are ever present.

Join Mary Eichorn, Clinical Social Worker, this Saturday to explore these themes as we surrender to the wisdom of trees.

Cost, including all materials, is $30 per person. Send an email now to register (rdfield@rocketmail.com). CLICK HERE for more information, including lunch info.

Ava DuVernay's "13th"

Thursday, Aug. 9 - 6:00 p.m.
Ingram Auditorium, Dunham Building
Brevard College

Center for Spiritual Wisdom is proud to co-sponsor one of this summer's "Voices of Justice" events. We're partnering with Brevard College's Office of Spiritual and Religious Life to offer a public viewing of Ava DuVernay's documentary "13th", an Academy Award nominee. The documentary examines the root causes of mass incarceration in America. Might the 13th Amendment of our Constitution be a key factor? Come & watch, reflect, and join your neighbors to discuss this vital issue. Facilitated discussion groups will meet in Dunham after the documentary. We will adjourn by 8:45 p.m.
