Happy 2nd Anniversary to Us!

Center for Spiritual Wisdom is young. We're not really "new", but we're not old either. Like any 2 year-old, there's a lot of growing and learning ahead of us. To me, that sounds fitting for a spirituality center. As you'll see from this newsletter, we're an active youngster!

Lately, when I talk to folks about the Center, I say, We're doing exactly what I'd hoped: group learning, retreats, spiritual direction, workshops, and conferences in the interest of spiritual growth & transformation. But we need to enlarge the circle of folks who know what we do, get involved and invest in our mission of changing lives from the inside out.

That's where you come in. Right now, we generate about half the revenue we need through our programs. The rest comes from donations and gifts from people like you. In honor of our second anniversary, please consider a gift of support. A variety of gifts are welcome and all will be gratefully received. Monthly gifts help us sustain our operations. Just like any household or business, we have bills to pay for personnel, rent, advertising, etc. You can make an ongoing gift HERE (scroll down to the second option for donations). An investment of $100, $50 or even $25 per month will help us keep our doors open. One-time gifts of any amount are also welcome.

JOIN YOUR NEIGHBORS: Brevard attorney David Neumann recently made a generous monthly pledge in honor of his late wife, Linda. Linda Neumann had a beautiful soul and a keen interest in spiritual growth. Dave says she would have appreciated what the Center is about. The Rev. Bill McCleery and his wife, the Rev. Linea Warmke also make a monthly gift. They agree that a spirituality center is an asset to our community and beyond. Please consider joining Dave, Bill, Linea and others. Invest in a better world by making a gift of support today.

Gifts at the $1,000 per year level or higher automatically enroll donors in the Friends of CSW Circle. As a thank-you gift to Friends of the Center, we waive registration fees to local events. EACH AND EVERY GIFT is gratefully received and appreciated!

All I Need to Know of God

Trees-R-Us
An Eco-Spirituality Workshop
Aug. 11, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Eco-spirituality tells us that    “We are all one!”

Recognizing and appreciating our Oneness with the natural world makes it possible for us to receive the heart-full invitation of trees:  To reconnect with your core humanity. We may have forgotten optimism and hope, but trees can remind us they are ever present in our daily lives.

Come join Mary Eichorn, Clinical Social Worker, to explore these themes as we surrender to the wisdom of trees.

Cost, including all materials, is $30 per person. Send an email now to register. CLICK HERE for more information.

? Most Important Documentary ?
August 9 @ 6:00 p.m.
Ingram Auditorium, Dunham
Brevard College
Center for Spiritual Wisdom tries to hold together spirituality and the needs of the world. To this end, we are happy to co-sponsor one of this summer's "Voices of Justice" events. We're partnering with Brevard College's Office of Spiritual and Religious Life to offer a public viewing of Ava DuVernay's documentary "13th", an Academy Award nominee. The documentary examines the root causes of mass incarceration in America. Might the 13th Amendment of our Constitution be a key factor? Come & watch, think, and join your neighbors to discuss this vital issue: August 9 at 6:00 p.m. at Ingram Auditorium in Brevard College's Dunham building.
Right Here, Right Now
All you need is right here and right now—in this world.... Heaven includes Earth. There are not sacred and profane things, places, and moments. There are only sacred and desecrated things, places, and moments—and it is we who desecrate them by our blindness and lack of reverence. It is one sacred universe, and we are all a part of it. - Fr. Richard Rohr
