Style Your Character

     "Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied); and her husband boasts of and praises her. (saying), Many daughters have done virtuously, nobly and well (with the strength of character that is steadfast in goodness), but you excel them all." Proverbs 31:28-29 (Amplified Version)      
     These verses speak to the strength and character of the Proverbs 31 Women and all women who desire this awesome feeling when she receives such praise from her children, saying you are the best mom or her husband, stating she is the most living and wonderful wife in the world.  
     The Proverbs woman’s character is styled with applaud and recognition from her family, such a great booster giving her more confidence to continue.  Understand that this woman is not just about maritus status or motherhood, but about Character.  Style your character; live and love in the strength that comes with knowing that your true worth of identity and sense of purpose stems from being a woman created in the image of God. Be extraordinary women of God destined to be.

     Peasant Skirts, Blazers, Tank Tops, Scarves, Skinny Jeans,, Pretty Dresses and Blouses...we love them all.  So go ahead and Style Your Godly Character.  There is too much trending to feel uninspired...
      Dress to express yourself, second, you should be able to afford and be able to wear some exclusive one-of-a-kind collections, or third, create our own...
      So what if you have a flare for Lace or Gothic, its not the design, it's the fact that God is involved.  Don't make it a dilemma about following Trends, add your Style, be feminine, be sexy, be radiant, be cute and pretty. Figure out how to wear the Trends and look beautiful!!  It's all about positivity.  You deserve to get dressed, respect yourself and look gorgeous.  Style Your Character.

Tomato and Cucumber Salad Recipe

Makes about 6 Cup servings
Prep time: 30 minutes
2 cups quartered cherry tomatoes
1 1/2 cups chopped cucumber
1 cup chopped yellow bell pepper
1/4 cup sliced scallions
1/2 cup sliced black pitted olives 
1/4 cup chopped mint, divided
2 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves, divided
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Black pepper to taste
1tsp lemon zest
1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
3 Tablespoons of balsamic vinaigrette
Note:  For a Healthier Salad, make sure all the items are  Organic, Gluten Free and Non GMO.
      In medium sized bowl, place tomatoes, add half of the mint, 1 teaspoon of thyme, salt and pepper and mix well.  In small separate bowl, combine lemon zest, lemon juice, balsamic vinaigrette, remaining mint, remaining thyme and more fresh ground pepper. Allow this mixture to sit for 30 minutes.  In a large bowl combine cucumbers, peppers, scallions, and olives, then add tomatoes and mix well.  When ready to serve, mix the dressing and toss with salad.

Article:  When you talk about health there are so many points and things that can be discussed. There are plenty of myths and ideas that are put out there for us to follow. It does not help that we live in a society where things are made for convenience and not for health. What that has to do with you is EVERYTHING. Simply because you work so hard to balance your life. Whether you work a 9-5 or own a business your health is important. Whether you are a mother or not your health matters for those who need and will need you today, tomorrow or further in the future.
     Before I delve too deep I want you to ask yourself a question.” Am I healthy?” If you are unsure about the answer or the answer is no then you have to take a step back and analyze what contributes to your health factors. I can tell you now that there are 2 main factors that are broad yet apart of your life:
1. Consumption
2. Exercise
Those two factors are a key to your health and sometimes we have too much of one and not enough of the other. I mean let’s be real sometimes the only time we see the gym is when we drive past it and we are so busy we don’t have the time to make a home cooked meal so we think I want something fast hmmm “fast food”. You may be smiling after reading that but take a second and think are those things true to you, are you ignorant to what is going on behind the scenes in your body? (If that pushes a button then good we have to be real with ourselves)  
     Some of us are in ministry and we are always pouring and giving, giving, giving and then when something happens with our health that’s when we realize hmmm I wasn’t taking care of my body like I should. It is time to break some chains of unhealthiness. I know you don’t want to slow down and that you have an assignment to do in your purpose, Bless God for that. God also gives us wisdom on how to treat our bodies and there is so much in his word that shows us how to live a healthy whole life. Let me share this scripture with you.
Isaiah 48:17-18New International Version (NIV)
17 This is what the Lord says—
    your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,

    who teaches you what is best for you,
    who directs you in the way you should go.
18 If only you had paid attention to my commands,
    your peace would have been like a river,
    your well-being like the waves of the sea.
That scripture right there is a simple word that says how important it is to pay attention to God and what he says.I have kept you reading a little here so now I want to give you a few tips to help you be a little healthier each day.
  1. Drink More Water
  2. Get at least 30 minutes of exercise per day (walking, running, dancing, Zumba)
  3. Meal Prep ( Plan what you are going to ahead of time, cook it, place it in on the go containers for ease of use.)
  4. Avoid Sugar as much as possible. (If you crave sugar seek it from natural food sources and not processed foods like cereals and pop tarts, etc. Go for fresh fruit and nuts)
  5. Reduce stress by giving all of your problems to God who can handle them even when you don’t know or even understand what’s going on.
Last but not least take care of you. You are beautiful, amazing, and intelligent and you need to be as healthy as you can be. Thanks Robin!
