Hi there!

February is Black History Month with many galleries featuring works by and about the African American experience.  Examples we want you to know about:

In an art world that can be exclusionary, artblog has always covered a diverse range of artists and voices.  That’s been an important part of our mission since we began.  We hope you like our coverage and support what we do, which, in 2014 includes planning for an exciting new community project!  (More on that soon.)

We are very grateful for the outpouring of support we received during our Decade of artblog campaign. Thank you for your contributions — they will help us pay our writers and support staff this year!!  If you haven’t yet made a contribution we hope you’ll consider showing your support. You can make a donation online on our Support Page (via our non-profit Paypal account) or send a check, made out to TheArtblog, Inc., to TheArtblog,Inc. 103 Bentley Ave. Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. We are a 501c(3) non-profit organization, and contributions are tax-deductible.

And hey, sponsors, thank you for being there for us! Your support helps fund the technical aspects of artblog and other aspects of our programming. To learn more about sponsoring artblog, get in touch with Susan Stromquist at

How to register and post your show/event/opportunity on the artblog art calendar

You can list your show/event for free and it's all user uploaded.  And we are using the calendar to make our decisions about "our picks" each month.  "Our Picks" appear on the blog and are emailed to 1,200 dedicated subscribers to our "Our Picks" newsletter.  Here's how to list your show/event:

Register and list your show/event on the artblog art calendar.

NOTE:  When you list your show information, be sure to also list the opening reception for the show as an "event," otherwise the opening won't appear on the calendar's home page, which is where most people go to see what's happening.

Here's the link to register.

Any trouble you have listing, email and they will help you out.
