Mark 10:46-52

We welcome Keith Wright, our regional representative for World Renew to Crestview.  Keith will bring the message from Mark 10:46-52, entitled,Changing the Story, with a thematic emphasis on the change that Jesus brings to our lives: from despair to hopefulness, oppressor to ally, victim to victor, and stranger to friend.  Keith will also be available after the service to discuss World Renew and answer your questions.

Come, everyone, from Longmont to Pearl Street, from Madison to Chataqua, North-South-East-West, COME!  Let us worship the Lord.

Pastor Mark

Communion Sunday
The sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated on Sunday, August, 21.  Please take time in the next week to prepare yourself to receive this gracious gift from the Lord.
Special Download*
On Sunday, August 21, Hillary and Steven Krieger, our missionaries in the UK, will join us for worship.  After the service, there will be a special Download where Steven and Hillary will discuss their ministry to bring the gospel to students at the University of Birmingham. Please plan on staying after the service.

*Download is a time set aside after the worship service to discuss and "unpack" the sermon.  Regular Download sessions will resume in September.

Dessert Night at the Quists
The Quists would like to have you over for dessert to get to know you better and hang out at the Madison House.  Two dates are available for this: Sunday, August 14th at 7:00pm and Thursday, September 8th at 7:00pm.  Please email Mark or Deone, or call: Mark: 616-566-8201, Deone: 616-566-4595 to let us know you are coming!

Neighborhood BBQ + Kids Field Day
On August 24 from 6:00-8:00PM, we will host our last summer neighborhood barbecue PLUS a special kids field day! Hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie-burgers, buns, condiments and lemonade provided. If possible, please bring a larger dish to share since we are expecting extra neighbors to join. The kids field day will include: fun activities, relay games, gold, silver, and bronze "medals", and water balloons -- don't forget a towel!  AND, of course, volunteers will be needed to oversee all these fun activities. If you are able to help out or if you have questions, please contact Jackie at  Come join in and be sure to invite your neighbors!

Dinner for Eight
You'll be able to choose either meeting with Adults Only, Whole Families, or Either of the Above.  Groups of ~8 adults OR ~3 Whole Families meet for dinner once-a-month for 4 months.  Hosting of the dinner rotates among the group, and everyone brings food.  Our purpose is to build deeper relationships.  It’s also an opportunity to invite 1-2 friends you may have been wanting to invite to Crestview, and here's a chance to introduce them to others from your church in a fun setting.  Sign-up is available until August 28.  Groups meet September - December, 2016.  Find the sign-up sheet at the hutch in the Fellowship Hall or you can contact Muffie VanAndel (303) 444-7036 or

Camping Trip
Well, another smashing success!  The camping trip on Aug. 5-7 was a wonderful time of hiking, biking, eating and fellowship.  Here is a picture of the group during the Saturday evening worship. Click HERE to check out Crestview's Facebook page for more pictures.

Crestview Bowling Night
And yes, we also had a blast at Fat Cats on Tuesday nigh Aug. 2.  There was more laughing and eating than serious bowling (although there were some seriously good bowlers in the group) and a good time was had by all.  Click HERE to check out more pictures on Crestview's Facebook page.
