 Matthew 5:1-16

"We are people on a journey following where the Master walks.  We are people on a journey, taking up the cross of Christ, rising up in life reborn."  Lyrics from a song I love.  We are on a journey that is taking shape through the beatitudes.  This week we dive into "hungering and thirsting for righteousness."  It gets at the heart of the beatitudes and the heart of our desires.  So I ask you this week: What is it that you hunger and thirst for?  This question is key in following Jesus in the every day life God has given us.  This question is key to understanding the Kingdom of God call on our lives.  So, what is it that your heart and soul most desire?

See you Sunday - Pastor Mark

Crestview Memory Verses
"and so. somehow to attain to the resurrection from the dead." Philippians 3:11

During the first four months of 2016 our fellowship is committing Philippians 3:7-11 to memory. This is the final verse in our memory challenge--good work people of God!

Philippians 3:7-11 What was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
