Nehemiah 5-7
Good Day!  Our series continues in Nehemiah this week (chapters 5-7) as Nehemiah continues to live into the calling God gave him - to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem.  Yet, this call touches on much more than building a wall.  Through the course of rebuilding this wall God's people are rediscovering the larger purpose for which God had called them, "to be a light to the Gentiles." (Isaiah 49:6)
This 'project' of rebuilding and renewal is bringing other things to the surface.  In chapter 5 the women of the community are 'crying out' because of the injustices they are suffering.  It seems that the heart and behavior of the people is also in need of rebuilding and renewal.  In fact, through this rebuilding project, God is also bringing about repentance in the hearts of his people.
Once again, as the gaps in the wall are being closed, both external and internal opposition are threatening to undermine its completion (Chapter 5 and 6).  Come and find out Sunday how Nehemiah and the people respond to the opposition.  In preparation, read chapter 5 and 6.  Questions: There are two great commandments: Love God and Love Neighbor.  In chapter 5, the people are not 'loving their neighbor' well.  What's the main issues?  In chapter 6, there are more threats: internal and external.  What are they?  And how does Nehemiah respond?  See you Sunday!

The Leadership Summit is being held this year on August 11th/12th.  The speakers are inspirational and it is highly educational.  Pastor Mark will be going on Thursday and Rod and Ardith Rietema are committed for both days at the satellite location in Loveland.  If you would like to join us, you can register at:  Click on the Loveland site (Crossroads Church) Icon and register for 1 or 2 days.  Let us know and we will car pool and sit together.

Camping Trip
Well, another smashing success!  The camping trip last weekend was a wonderful time of hiking, biking, eating and fellowship.  Here is a picture of the group during the Saturday evening worship. Click HERE to check out Crestview's Facebook page for more pictures.

Crestview Bowling Night
And yes, we also had a blast at Fat Cats on Tuesday night.  There was more laughing and eating than serious bowling (although there were some seriously good bowlers in the group) and a good time was had by all.  Click HERE to check out more pictures on Crestview's Facebook page.

Your Estate Plan needs to reflect these changes.Jim Prichard, a Christian attorney from Barnabas Foundation, will assist you in reviewing your current plan and updating it, with no cost or obligation. Jim will be meeting with families in our area from August 23-Augsut 24, 2016.  Call Deb Harder at Barnabas Foundation toll-free at 888-448-3040 to schedule an appointment.
