 2 Timothy 3:16-17 & Hebrews 4:12-14
This week our Worship Director is back!  We are so glad to have Sydney back after some healing time post Stem Cell treatment to her shoulder and neck.  Sydney will be bringing us a message from Scriptureabout Scripture this week.  We believe the Bible to be the Holy Spirit, God breathed Word of God.  The term for it is Organic Inspiration, where God is 100% involved and uses 100% of the human authors.  I will have to explain that in more detail sometime.  The Bible is an accounting of the history of Redemption in and through Jesus Christ.  From beginning to end, it points us to Jesus.  It speaks of the great love of God for the world.  Jeremiah speaks of its importance like food, to the degree that he 'eats' it.  Psalm 119 is an amazing (long) song dedicated to describing the richness of God's Word - 8 verses each for every Hebrew letter of the alphabet describing God's Word in amazingly instructive and descriptive ways.  In preparation for Sunday's message, read our two TQ's (text of the quarters) passages: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 ("God breathed and useful") and Hebrews 4:12-13 ("like a double edged sword").  What is God's Word to us?  Does it have a central place in our life?  After all, it is 'sweeter than honey, more valuable than pure gold, gives joy to the heart, refreshes the soul...' (Psalm 19)…
To God be the glory for his infinite love in Jesus and for the gift of scripture,
Pastor Mark

Children's Sunday School 10:15 am
Sunday School this year has been focusing on characters of the Old Testament. Ruth and Jackie have come up with a plan to help Crestview Children learn more in-depth about these characters.  This Sunday, we will be talking about one of those characters and how they are part of God's great big plan.

After the Sunday sermon, please get your coffee and join Sydney in the Fellowship Hall Library for a time of reflection and "unpacking" the sermon.

Teacher Needed for Summer Session Young Children's Worship (YCW)
Great News!  We now have three of the four volunteers needed to teach YCW this summer (Praise God!).  That means that we need just ONE MORE willing soul to teach once per month during June, July and August.  This will offer some R&R for the folks who so lovingly give themselves to the little ones during the school year.  Contact Jackie & Ruth at if interested.

An Evening with Evangelist Mohammad Yamout, Friday April 29
Mohammad, a friend of Julie and Vince Huffaker, is a convert of Islam who works among the Syrian refugees in Tyre and Tripoli, Lebanon.  Bold and passionate in his approach, Mohammad's evangelistic heart will inspire you.  Come and be encouraged by his amazing stories and reports of what God is doing among the refugees in Lebanon.  Tomorrow night, Friday, April 29, from 6:00-8:00pm, at Boulder Valley Christian Church, 7100 S. Boulder Road.

Spring Cleanup Day
Please plan on helping out with the cleanup day Saturday, May 7.  There is a long list of chores that need doing before the Madison House is ready to become the Quist Home!  Please bring gloves and gardening tools--we have most of the cleaning supplies at church. If you have a truck and would be willing to haul branches to be composted, please let me (Debbie) know. Lots of chores--something for everyone!  If you have any questions please contact Debbie at

Joe Van Andel Birthday/Retirement Celebration
Please join Joe & Muffie for a celebration after the morning service on Sunday, May 8th.  We’re celebrating Joe’s 60th birthday and his retirement after working 27 years at NCAR.

Pastor Mark Installation Celebration
On Sunday, July 17, Mark Quist will be officially installed as pastor of Crestview Church.  Add this to your calendar and plan on attending this service to praise God for His mercy and blessings on our Fellowship through His gift to us of the Quist Family.

COMING SOON: Summertime Bar-B-Que
On the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of June, July and August, there will be a BBQ on the church patio starting at 6pm.  Hamburgers, hot dogs, vegi-burgers, buns, condiments and lemonade provide. We all bring a dish to pass--if you don't have a dish to pass, come anyway :)  A time of good food, games, and great fellowship--FUN!!!
