The Sunshine Coast’s most anticipated celebration of food, nature and fellowship is almost here, and a tantalising program has been revealed.

Curated by 52 local businesses and event organisers, the program runs from July 28 to August 6 with over 100 different events across 10 delicious days, showing more than 300 local producers and suppliers. Full story

QLD’s Festival of the Year

Caloundra Music Festival has taken out the People’s Choice Award for Festival of the Year at the Queensland Music Awards.

Last year, the festival celebrated 15 years at the iconic beachside location of Kings Beach which showcased 70 artists, including 30 local acts.

Among the accolades, and also voted by the people, popular Sunshine Coast venue Solbar was awarded the title of Regional Venue of the Year. Read more.

Star power in Kenilworth

Two big name actors arrive on the coast tomorrow to star in a Blink Productions thriller.

Coast's most sought after jobs revealed

Around 50 Business, Industry, Council and Education representatives gathered at the Holiday Inn last Friday to officially launch the Sunshine Coast Jobs Hub.  

The Jobs Hub showcases close to 1,000 job listings. Local employers can upload jobs for FREE and job seekers can search free and upload their own AirCV. Find out more at https://www.scjobs.com.au/

ASI Score Pilot

Local startup ASI Score are seeking 20 hospitality businesses in Caloundra to take part in a pilot to increase the ability for people with disabilities. 

ASI is a travel and recreation planning and review website designed to assist people with visible and invisible disabilities to plan their next adventure.

Minor Grants Open

The Community Grants Minor Grant round are open for non-profit groups to potentially receive up to $2,000 in grants funding. 

Applications close 2 May 2023. Apply online under Economic Development category. Applications must be submitted before starting the project. 

 

Social Enterprises Grants 

The Queensland Government is offering grants between $5,000 and $25,000 to established, eligible social enterprises that support jobs, are investing in skills and protecting the environment. 

Applications close on 27 April 2023. More information.
