Dice Hate Me Games

Issue #1: Welcome!

There are a few of you who have been with us on this journey from day one and we are grateful that we have picked up more supporters along the way. Thanks to each and every one of you for joining us on the ride!

To get everyone up to speed, Carnival will be Dice Hate Me Games' first release. In a nutshell, think ferris wheels, roller-coasters, carousels, swings, and bumper cars! It's a card game of set collection for 2-4 players, ages 12+ (although we have proof that a 9 year-old can hold his own, too!), that utilizes dice to determine actions. For more details, head on over to the
official game webpage where, along with our current content, we'll eventually be posting the rules, video tutorials on how to play, and a forum where you can ask us any questions or have a discussion amongst old and new friends.

We also have a few other games coming down the pipeline, so stay tuned!

Is it August yet?

Nope. Almost. We're less than a month away from launching our Kickstarter campaign, and excited to start filming for our video today! In the event that you hadn't heard, we are so happy that one of my ballet students (yes, she is multi-talented) is going to be our video producer. We know that she will bring awesome creativity to our project. We'll have updates next week...Unfamiliar with Kickstarter? Check out their page here; it's a great way to support grassroots efforts like ours :)

Yep, we are headed to Lancaster, PA next weekend to make our presence at the World Boardgaming Championships. Although we will not be participating in any of the tournaments, we will be demo-ing Carnival as well as our next two releases VivaJava and Soapbox Derby! While there, we will be hanging out with TC Petty III (designer of VivaJava), John Moller (designer of Flummox) and Stephen Buonocore of Stronghold games. Who knows who else we will run into! We'll have a report upon return...
