And now for something completely different...

On the day of Pentecost, God-fearing Jews from all over the world were amazed that each of them heard the wonders of God in their own language (Acts 2:6-12). In these last days, we're experiencing a Pentecost of our own: God's amazing message is going forth in every musical style imaginable!

This week's new releases span a broad musical spectrum. For those of you who have been asking for more "real gospel" selections, get ready to stomp and clap with the legendary Chicago Mass Choir's contagious anthem,
God Is My Everything

In a more contemporary vein, Todd Agnew has adapted the lyrics to the traditional hymn "Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven" into the new modern worship song,
Gloria. Todd also gives us some insight into how and why that song came to be written in this week's blog.

For an upbeat, middle of the road worship piece, check out
Honor and Majesty in our Staff Picks section. Finally, if you still haven't found that perfect Christmas Eve anthem, check Christ Has Come for All.

Many languages. One Lord. Be amazed!

The most familiar passage on this is Psalm 103:1: “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!” David tells his own soul to bless the Lord. It’s a good reminder that we have to intentionally command our souls to give God the glory he is due.

The great preacher D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones wrote:
