    MIT Elections

Even though school isn't in session, MIT needs you! Madrona Integrated Team is comprised of everyone at Madrona. It is led by the MIT board and holds elections every year – with positions rotating on a two year cycle. This year, the parent chair, vice treasurer and recorder positions are open for the two year term 2020-2022. The treasurer position is also open for one year to complete the remainder of the term vacated in January 2020. Training and support are provided by those currently holding the positions. Voting will be held in April, with the new board announced in May. Descriptions of each of the positions can be found on our website at this link: this link
If you are interested in volunteering for the MIT board or have questions about any of the positions, please email Cher Ann Kier, MIT Volunteer Coordinator at this email

    3-5 Adult Volunteers Needed

Joe Rice was one of the founders of Madrona K-8. Each year a scholarship is awarded to an eligible high school senior who attended Madrona for at least 4 years. This year applications are due 4/20/2020. Applications will be reviewed Thursday 4/23 from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm. If you are available on 4/23 and would like to part of the process, or have questions, please email Tracy at this email.

    Book Giveaway Donations

Madrona Library is gearing up for our annual "Great Book Giveaway" event taking place the last two weeks of school. We are gladly accepting gently used books for Preschool through Middle School Readers. If your family is doing spring cleaning of their bookshelves, please keep us in mind. The event is a lot of fun and we try to send each interested student home with at least one gently used book for the summer. Donations may be delivered to library before school at 9:00- 9:15 or after school at 3:50 - 4:05 or you may have your child bring them when they come to library class. If you have any questions, please email the librarian at this email

    Annual Joe Rice Scholarship

Each year the Joe Rice Scholarship awards $1000 to a former Madrona student, now an eligible high school senior headed to college. Scholarship applications are due Monday, April 20, 2020, at 12:00 noon. Eligibility and instructions can be found in the attached flyer/application. Please pass this information on to all Madrona families and alum. Flyer is at 2020-Joe-Rice-Application.pdf.
