Located only 90 minutes from Québec City in Le Massif de Charlevoix region, one of four Québec reserves in the UNESCO Canadian network, this destination has rich and complex ecosystem and is part of the Charlevoix Biosphere Reserve. The all-inclusive destination is spread across 300+ acres of land and features a full roster of experiences to match the skill and interest of any traveller, including all-day gourmet dining and open bar options with local and international specialties, as well as après- ski activities and entertainment.
“We are thrilled to finally open our doors to Club Med Québec Charlevoix and to Canada” says Henri Giscard D'Estaing, President, Club Med. “As we ease back into travel, we know this picturesque property hidden in the mountains of Charlevoix will be a front-runner for domestic and international vacationers. Club Med has operated for over 50 years in this country, and we are honoured to continue our investment with the first Canadian property and first four-season mountain resort in North America.”

Rare modern design mixed with stunning views of the region
Developed by Québec City based architectural and design firm LEMAYMICHAUD, the orientation of the buildings closely follows the topography while optimizing the views. As a result, all the rooms and common areas provide scenes of the river or mountain. The interior design concept is an ode to Québec’s traditions. Every space showcases a specific season that is integrated through textures, shapes, materials or colours. Throughout the spaces, elements reminiscent of the region and its traditions are carefully integrated, such as hanging canoes and one-of-a-kind carpets. A custom quilt, now displayed in the main lobby, was the inspiration behind the entire design project.
Astounding accommodations
Guests can select from Deluxe Room and Superior Room accommodations. With an outside facing bed view, the Deluxe Room offers bright contrasting colours of sunshine yellow and cardinal red. The room includes pieces reminiscent of the warmth and comfort of ancestral homes and features furnishings that pay homage to the surrounding nature. With the backdrop of Québec’s wide-open spaces, the Superior Room features shades of winter white and dusk blue to highlight the local colours.

Environmental and social impact
As part of Club Med's dedication to its "Happy to Care" CSR charter, it is pursuing two recognized sustainability certifications for Canada's inaugural resort. The brand hopes to be the first hotel structure in North America to earn a BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environment Assessment Method) certification, as the entire project was constructed based on these strict standards. It is also diligently working toward a Green Globe certification, which guarantees a responsible operation in both social and environmental aspects. To further emphasize its commitment to sustainable practices, the resort will partner with Solucycle, a Québec-based NGO that collects organic food waste and converts it into biogas, a green energy source. Club Med has also partnered with Montreal-based clothing company Hub1916 to produce all its staff uniforms from recycled plastic water bottles.
For more than 70 years, Club Med has made it a top priority to ensure guests and employees feel safe, welcome and accepted. Club Med Québec Charlevoix is the first Club Med resort to become Rainbow Registered with Canada’s LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce. This designation furthers the brand’s commitment to ensuring LGBTQ+ guests and employees feel safe, welcomed and accepted.
