Creating ownership and preservation program
Staff presented research and initial recommendations to City Council on January 3 for a program that would provide a financial incentive to buyers, sellers, and current homeowners to deed-restrict their homes to local occupancy. Staff will provide an update to Council on the policy, program, and outreach timeline on February 6. |

Incentivize Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) production and occupancy
Staff has begun research on incentives and process improvements to encourage the development and full-time, local occupancy of ADUs. Staff has developed an ADU FAQ, that presents an overview of current ADU regulations and processes in Ketchum. Following an initial discussion with the Planning and Zoning Commission, staff will be bringing recommendations to the City Council. Read story on P&Z recommendations here and staff report here.

Local option tax (LOT) second review by City Council on February 6
The City has limited revenues dedicated for housing (in-lieu fees). As outlined in the Housing Action Plan, additional funding could support housing development and programs.

1st and Washington mixed-income development
The Agreement to Negotiate Exclusively (ANE) has been executed. The Ketchum Urban Renewal Agency and development team now have 180 days to complete the ground lease and development and disposition agreement (DDA). View project website here.

Lease to Locals
