"Living the Spirit Life"

Acts 2: 42-47
This week we welcome Rev. Gregory Kendrick Jr., the Executive Director of the Cory Glenville Community Center. He is also the Lead Pastor at Cory United Methodist Church. Originally from Chicago, he moved to Granville to attend Denison University for his undergraduate education (Bachelor of Arts in Religion) and moved to Delaware, Ohio, to attend The Methodist Theological School for his graduate education (Master of Divinity.) Afterward, he spent time at the Greater Hilltop Area Shalom Zone in Columbus, working in the city center and urban areas, serving people in poverty and engaging in advocacy through direct action such as food distribution, low-income housing, and job training. He has lived in the Cleveland area for four years. Kendrick Jr. is eager and motivated to continue more hands-on, direct-action work within the Glenville community.

Live stream the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. worship services through our websiteYouTube, and Facebook

As kids, many of us had some of our most meaningful and personal experiences of Jesus at camp. Maybe it was a story told around a campfire. Maybe it was a song sung in an outdoor chapel. Maybe it was the kindness shown by a camp counselor. If you've been to camp, chances are you had an encounter with Jesus that shaped your faith.
Our July sermon series is titled "Summer Camp," and it's all about the unique ways we grow in our faith through summer experiences - as kids but sometimes also as adults. If you have a story or a memory from camp, we'd love to hear from you!
Please email your stories to both Rev. Andy and  Rev. Amanda So your stories can help inspire us to deepen our walk with Christ!

Our Explorers (youth exploring faith before Confirmation) are putting FAITH into ACTION by washing cars to support children in Ranquitte, Haiti. Ranquitte is a rural village in Haiti with whom COTS has connections. Our Explorers goal of $1200 will add one weekly meal for 12 kids a year. Identified as the most food insecure, these 12 children need your help, and each meal we can provide helps support their primary source of nutrition for the day.
Car wash this Saturday, June 11, 9:00 am -1:00 pm in the North Parking Lot.
Join us on June 12, 2022 for Memory Sunday - 2:30 pm via Zoom

We are in the process of updating our annual Guide Book & Directory for the church. This book will contain everything pertinent to our church: the various ministries, organizations, committees, activities, functions and events plus a complete directory of all members. This book is being provided and direct-mailed to each family at no cost to our church, and it is again being subsidized by local businesses that advertise. If you own or manage a business and would like to find out about advertising in our book, please call the Church Office.

Recent survey results by Guide Book Publishing show that 92.1% of families would rather patronize a Guide Book & Directory advertiser over a non-advertiser. It “will pay” to advertise in our new Guide Book & Directory.

Does our Church database have YOUR family membership record correct?

Here is your chance to update YOUR record for our annual Guide Book & Directory (if you haven’t already done so).

It is time for us to update our database with any changes, additions, or deletions that may have occurred in YOUR family over the past year.

Have you changed your phone number? Have you moved? Are you preparing to move soon? Are all of your children still at home and are they all included in your membership record? Do you want your record published?

If you have not already informed the Church Office about changes to your record, please let us know now so that the information in the Guide Book & Directory is correct. If your contact information has changed let us know by e-mailing Dylan Crowell at or by phoning the church office at (216) 321-8880.

If you or a family member has recently received a high school or higher education degree, please let us know at so we can share the news with our church family!

Dylan grew up in Minerva, Ohio, a small town in Northeastern Ohio. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Communication through Kent State University.
After graduating, she worked in various roles in nonprofits and education. In 2018, she continued her education at The University of Pittsburgh and graduated with a Master of Education in English Education. Dylan is thrilled to be a
part of the Church of Saviour staff, where she can focus on growing her faith and supporting a vibrant and diverse church community. Outside of her work,
she enjoys reading copious amounts of books, collecting and listening to vinyl records, teaching yoga and meditation, and taking in the peaceful and life-giving elements of nature with her husband, Dave, and daughters- Cecelia and Josephine.
Youth Mission Trip Registration is Open!
The COTS Youth Mission Trip is putting FAITH into ACTION. We are partnering with Jackson Area Ministries to help meet the needs of residents in the Wheelersburg, Ohio, area. We want to help make the world the way God intended it to be: Whole! And we'll do it through relationships and working on homes. Jesus-followers are called to transform the world. Will you join us? (For youth entering grade 8 and older.)
The Youth Mission Trip stock sales
fundraiser has officially begun!

Those who are serving and working are not the only participants. You can be a part of the team, too. You can partner with us and participate by providing financial support through our “Stock Sale”. If 60 people go on the trip, we’ll need to raise $9,000 to cover the cost of supplies, food, transportation and scholarships. In addition to the intangible benefits of helping make this mission possible, you will also receive a letter from one of the youth during the week, sharing his or her experience with you. "Stock" donations can be $20, $50, $100 or more or less – every dollar helps. To give, click here and select the fund: Youth Mission Trip Stock Sales.
