Our apologies, we've been slacking off on the monthly updates; we haven't sent anything out since April when we hosted the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour.
Thanks again to everyone who made it out to the film festival. While it wasn't the usual robust response we would see, pre-pandemic, to the film festival, we'll try again with five shows in January and hope you'll join us then as we continue to settle into a new normal.
Speaking of "new normals," COVID has wreaked havoc on our supply chains with major shipping delays, production delays, and cost increases. The outdoor industry will continue to see price increases heading into fall and then again next spring, so if you're looking at some gear that we have in-store or online, we encourage you to pick it up now as it could be more expensive the next time you look.
Those delays have meant a major dearth of goods, including clothing, but especially impacting things like our Gore-Tex jackets, tents, and most footwear brands. We are finally starting to see some footwear trickle in now, like our revered Hanwag boots, some Salomon trail runners, and other crowd favourites.
