Since the launch of the BeyondGenderAgenda in early 2020, our initiative has been dedicated to moving the German economy towards more diversity, equity, and inclusion, and I am proud to say that in only one short year, we have achieved fantastic progress. Our board is now comprised of over 30 leading economic, political, and social voices who are focusing their efforts on not only supporting BGA, but also establishing DE&I initiatives within their own ventures. We have recognized a number of innovative companies such as Vodafone, Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), and Deutsche Bahn, through our German Diversity Awards. Our 2020 German Diversity Monitor not only demonstrated where our country is in regard to quantifying DE&I efforts, but the direction we must head towards if we hope to achieve true social and economic inclusion. And most recently, we launched our official Diversity Certification, which gives companies the opportunity to be certified for their comprehensive diversity commitment through independent and data-led verification.
Our next step in growing opportunities, connecting networks, and informing economic leaders is what you are reading, right now: the launch of the BeyondGenderAgenda E-Newsletter. With each edition, we will provide our dedicated community with insights and resources that will support you in your own DE&I efforts. Through our newsletter, we will bring you exclusive conversations with industry leaders, vital DE&I data, and a deeper look into our work.
We are committed to not only making DE&I top of mind for business leaders, but an integral part of the German economy and that commitment will only grow as our community of supporters and partners continue to work alongside us.
