We Have Just 308 days to Save America

"Forget your resolutions. Develop battle plans." Sonnie Johnson

As of Monday, January 4, there are 308 days to the 2016 election.  (Check out that link!) While the "long war for the soul of America" will continue after November 8, 2016, we all recognize this is a crucial election.  If Hillary Clinton or a pro amnesty and mass immigration Rep win, it could be all over for the principles and values that made America great, free and prosper.

Our January 7 meeting!

State Senator Mike Morrell and Assembly Member Jay Obernolte [with 100% ratings from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association] will discuss and answer your questions regarding what happened in Sacramento in 2015 and what the Dems plan to do for to us in 2016.  Neil Derry will discuss a proposed San Bernardino County initiative to limit salaries of high-level [and overpaid] county employees.

The fun part of the meeting will be our first straw poll of 2016 that's as creative as it will be fun!

Thanks to our great new cabinet member Jackie Siefferman, every person and attendee will get three colored beads. Two for the first and second GOP picks and a third for their Dem choice. After the audience drops their beads in their respective jars, we will collect and count, announcing the results by the end of the meeting. As always, our meeting is free and open to the public, so all comers -- including the liberals who won't admit they attend -- will get to vote as well. Want to support a candidate? Then you have to show up to vote!

National Tea Party Patriots presidential endorsement is coming; voting starts January 7, but only if you are registered

The national Tea Party Patriots, which we are affiliated with, with more supporters than will vote in the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary, probably combined, will hold four rounds of voting in January to determine who the Tea Party Patriots will endorse for president.

Because of the large number of conservatives voting, this is an opportunity to drive the agenda and influence the outcome.

Voting starts January 7.  Round 1, January 7-8; round 2, January 14-15; round 3, January 21-22; round 4, January 25-26.

But, to participate, you must register with Tea Party Patriots.  You can do register and find information about the candidates at the Tea Party Patriots Citizen Fund.  [Even you are already registered with Tea Party Patriots and/or Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund, they ask you register to vote at the page linked above.]

More information about the candidates will be added including their responses to Tea Party Patriots' questionnaire and appeals directly to Tea Party Patriots' supporters.  In the later rounds of voting, there will be opportunities to hear from and question the candidates.

Yellow Card Project  In an election, controlling what subjects are discussed can be more important than controlling what is said.  To help drive the agenda, the national Tea Party Patriots created the Yellow Card Project.  Tea party patriots selected seven issues that poll very highly in our favor.  The idea is to ask candidates for federal office, including the presidential candidates, whether they support the following:

(1) Term limits for Congress
[Personally we favor Illinois style term limits: one term in office and one term in prison.]
(2) Ending the special Congressional exemption from Obamacare
[which Congress gets by claiming to be a "small business"]
(3) The Penny Plan
[to balance the federal budget within five years by reducing federal spending by one penny per dollar per year]
(4) Repeal Obamacare
(5) Enforcing America's Immigration Laws
(6) Meaningful Tax Reform
[simpler, flatter and fairer]
(7) Ending Common Core

For more info on the Yellow Card Project and sign the petition supporting these positions, please see the Yellow Card Project.

Please also download the app for iPhone and Android that provides info regarding these issues, allows you to sign the petition, and allows you to submit the candidates response

Closer To Home, the Redlands City Council: water, trains, refugees, "evil acts" and "Sustainability/Agenda 21...

Unvetted and Unvettable "refugees"
On Dec. 15, the Redlands Tea Party Patriots and our Unite IE allies, ACT for America-Corona, Redlands Townhall and We The People Rising, held a press conference outside Redlands City Hall urging the council to stop fearing political correctness and urge the Islamic Community to cooperate with authorities in the wake of the Dec. 2 Islamic terrorist attacks.

That night, more than three dozen Patriots attended the council meeting.  Everyone who spoke did great. Thank you to everyone who spoke or attended and to show support.  Here is grindall61's video of the public comments via YouTube.

In particular, please see Mayor Paul Foster's opening remarks including “Let this new challenge strengthen our resolve to be true to who we are. Despite the loud voices of a few individuals spreading fear, we are a community that embraces residents of all faiths and ethnic backgrounds and we will not honor one act of evil with another act of evil.”

Members of Redlands Townhall and the Redlands Tea Party Patriots have been trying to alert their fellow citizens and the City Council to these risks and costs since October.  This was the first time any council member responded to our concerns regarding the risks and costs of bringing unvetted and unvettable Syrian refugees to Redlands.

Decide for yourselves whether Mayor Foster's remarks were appropriate and:

  • Whether he understands the threat of Islamic terrorism.
  • His attitude toward citizens exercising their First Amendment rights and obligations as citizens of a constitutional republic to participate in government and the political process.
  • Did Mayor Foster imply American citizens trying to alert their fellow citizens and the City Council to the risks and costs of bringing unvetted and unvettable refugees to Redlands were "evil" like the terrorist attack on December 2?
  • Did Mayor Foster imply not bringing unvetted and unvettable refugees to Redlands was "evil" like the terrorist attack on December 2?
  • If not, what did Mayor Foster mean by his "evil" comment?

Please also note Mayor Foster's carefully phrased comments saying there are no "plans" to bring "families" fleeing violence in Syria to Redlands. Mayor Foster's comment depends on trusting the Obama administration.  Plans can change any time.  Most of the supposed Syrian refugees are not "families" but rather military age males.  Mayor Foster's comment does not address refugees from other areas such as ISIS controlled areas of Iraq, Libya [which is jihadist anarchy thanks to Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton] Afghanistan [where both ISIS and Taliban are active], or Somalia [which is also jihadist anarchy].  ISIS and the Somali terrorist group, al-Shabaab, have successfully recruited among the Somali refugees in Minnesota.

The FBI director and Obama's director of intelligence have said the supposed Syrian refugees cannot be vetted.  The Obama administration supposedly vetted the female terrorist who committed the San Bernardino attack, and we see how well that worked out.

And, Mayor Foster probably does not know the Center of Security Policy polled 600 American Muslims and found that 25 percent of respondents agreed with this statement: “Violence against Americans here in the United States can be justified as part of the global jihad.” (Worse yet, 51 percent of respondents agreed that American Muslims should have the choice of being governed by sharia law.)

We can help the people over there at no risk to Americans and at much lower cost to American taxpayers.

We call on our local, state and federal elected officials to put protecting America and Americans first.

Water Rates to Skyrocket!
On December 1, thanks in part to citizen opposition, the City Council deferred voting on a 19% water rate.  Since then, the City's Utility Advisory Committee recommended a 40% water rate increase, 15% this fiscal year, 16% in 2016-2017 and 10% in 2017-2018.  This is after water rate increases in 2012, 2013 and 2014.  [Where did that money go?]The City Council may vote on this huge water rate increase as early as January 5.   Stay tuned and alert for when the City Council tries to raise our water rates.  However, it could not heard to preemptively let your City Council know what you think of their plan to raise our water rates.

The Redlands Crazy Train, high density "stack and pack" housing, "Sustainability"/Agenda 21
The City Council remains determined to run 58 trains per day through Redlands and build high density "stack and pack" housing at the train stations.  The train is not only a waste of money that will cost more than $300,000 per estimated rider, [and the government always overestimates ridership and underestimates costs] it will make life, business and traffic worse in Redlands.  This is part of their larger effort to bring so-called "sustainability" aka Agenda 21 to Redlands.

The City is working on a new general plan to further implement "sustainability" aka Agenda 21 in Redlands with the same top-down driven agenda we see in many other cities, high density housing and trying to force us, but not them, out of our cars.

If you do not want these things, it is important for citizen Patriots to be involved in the process.  You can go to City Council meetings and let your city Council know what you think.  You can also go to the general plan steering committee meetings and give your input.

Rebecca Friedrichs fights for First Amendment Rights for Government Employees

So you think you're a patriot? Try the uber-courageous Rebecca Friedricks, daughter of our own Redlands Tea Party Patriots Chuck and Maggi Brummett, and an Orange County teacher who has taken the California Teacher Association all the way to the US Supreme Court! Her case, Friedrichs v California Teachers Association, has been scheduled for oral arguments in front of the Supremes on Monday, Jan. 11, the same day as the college football championship. Like Gary Cooper in High Noon standing up for what's right, , Rebecca  challenged the oppressive CTA which compels all teachers to contribute to causes they may disagree with. Yet, Rebecca stood her ground as her case ascended through the courts.

As Thomas Jefferson said: "To compel a man to furnish contributions of money for the propagation of opinions which he disbelieves and abhors, is sinful and tyrannical."

If Rebecca wins -- and that could very well happen -- then teachers and all government employees will have the freedom to choose whether to join and pay dues to unions. In Wisconsin, which made joining up paying dues to government employee unions voluntary, membership dropped by ~1/3. Dems are quaking in their Birkenstocks at the huge numbers of members and money they will lose if their previously indentured servants/employees actually gain the freedom to do what they want with their political dollars! (Dang that liberty!)

We anticipate a decision in the summer. Prayers! Until then, you can follow Rebecca's case at the Center for Individual Rights on Facebook or at Rights4Teachers on Twitter. #IStandWithRebecca
