Redlands Tea Party Patriots
Tickets for the Second Annual  Unite IE Conservative Conference  in Riverside Now on Sale!

There are so many events on our calendar that we couldn't wait to publish our next newsletter!

First, tickets are now on sale for the second annual Unite IE Conservative Conference in Riverside: [The VIP tickets will go quickly.  The $25 balcony tickets will probably sell out so buy your tickets soon.  When you buy your tickets, please select the Redlands Tea Party Patriots as your group at the place indicated.]

Nationally known conservative action figures will be on stage throughout the day. An abbreviated list includes Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Carly Fiorina, all possible 2016 presidential candidates. Then there's Larry Elder,  Father Josiah Trenham (who lead the successful fight to save the Mt. Rubidoux Cross) in addition to comedian Evan Sayet, the Politichicks and other great conservative speakers!

We can also tell you that two national support team members from the Tea Party Patriots will be flying in for the conference. This is a chance for you to meet with the people who coordinate local chapters for the Tea Party Patriots. If you are a local coordinator, or you would like to start a Tea Party Patriots chapter of your own, then this is a perfect opportunity to meet with the people who could make this happen.

These two national leaders, Gregg Cummings and Maria Acosta, spoke to us in Redlands last year. They will be on stage during the conference.

The backroom in the historic and renovated Fox Theater (where "Gone with the Wind" was first screened) will contain tables for Unite IE  conservative and patriotic groups. And of course, the Redlands Tea Party Patriots will also have a table with plenty of swag! (First come, first served, so be first!)

By the way, humongous “thank yous” to AM 590 The Answer (and especially station manager Brad Anderson) and title sponsor Ed Hoffman and Wholesale Capital Corporation.

Speaking of the Tea Party Patriots: Nationally known leader Jenny Beth Martin will be on the Unite IE radio show on Jan. 17 (see adjoining column for details). California state coordinator John Berry will be discussing how the Redlands Tea Party Patriots became one of the most successful tea party groups in California during a talk in Menifee on Feb. 7. He will discuss organization, leadership, canvassing, ballot initiatives (see the next column for details).
Can't wait for Feb. 21 to get your conservative red meat?!?! Well, our good friends in the Redlands Republican Women's Club have scored a real coup.   This Friday  Rebecca Friedrichs, the lead plaintiff in a case heading for the US Supreme Court, will discuss why she is suing the California Teachers Association for forcing her to contribute to un-Christian causes. Interested? Info to attend is in the next column.

Angry at the radical Muslim terrorist attack in Paris? Well, on a much smaller scale, illegal alien supporters vandalized the News-Press newspaper in Santa Barbara for actually using -- and we're not making this up -- the word "illegal" in a headline. Our good friends in We the People Rising are coordinating a demonstration standing up for our First Amendment rights. Although the vandalism was not lethal, the point is the same: Criminals are attacking newspapers to control the message and intimidate free people. Demonstration details are in the adjoining column.

Our next general meeting on Feb. 5 features Matt Lauer -- not the one from NBC's "Today Show" -- from Heritage Action. Matt will discuss issues ranging from ObamaCare and amnesty to taxes and the import-export bank. Lauer will discuss how these issues tie into 2015 legislation and how they could impact the 2016 elections.

Just as importantly, Lauer is a national coordinator for Heritage Action, the political action arm of the esteemed Heritage Foundation. Lauer travels the country to meet with "Sentinels," individuals tasked with keeping an eye on elected members of Congress. Countrywide, Heritage Action has a network of nearly 10,000 sentinels. We will have materials for the Sentinel program at our Feb. 5 meeting if you would like to take  them and research the program.

On March 5, Mike Alexander of Pasadena TEAPAC returns as our guest speaker. He is the guru of fiscally conservative ballot propositions in California. Specifically, Mike will be discussing ballot initiatives heading for the 2016 ballot. Also on stage is Judi Neal of the Mountain View  Republican Club and Gina Gleason from Calvary Chapel, Chino Hills. Judi and Gina are   experts in petitions.    They are going to give us a much-needed tutorial on how to correctly complete petitions.

Other news: Our own John Berry was in The Press-Enterprise for an article about a letter he wrote complaining about the undemocratic and bullying behavior of the Colton Police and the US Secret Service during the Joe Biden rally at Colton High School on Nov. 1. John gave a flash drive of evidence to Colton Police in a meeting last month. Colton police said they are investigating the matter. Stay tuned.

Still, more other news: There's a new evening rush-hour host on AM590 The Answer! From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Don Dix -- Unite IE leader and conservative conference organizer -- is now a co-host for this new "Don and Jen Show," which launched January 6 2015.  The show features commentary on current events of interest to conservatives.

Finally, more awesome news: In a new and significant web site benefit only for members, the Tea Party Patriots are now allowing all members to listen in on its weekly legislative update from Bill Pascoe, a tea partier who has been running conservative campaigns for decades. Bill Pascoe knows Congress better than most people who actually work there. Each week, Bill updates the 300 local coordinators of the Tea Party Patriots about inside info affecting Congress and upcoming legislation. He dishes on inside information you won't get from anywhere else. As of Monday, Bill Pascoe's legislative updates are now recorded for all members of the Tea Party Patriots to hear. You must enroll at to hear them. (After logging in, click Legislative Updates and the week you want to hear.)
