Catabasis Initiates Phase 2 Trial of CAT-2003 in Patients with Severe Hypertriglyceridemia

Catabasis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., today announced the initiation of a Phase 2 clinical trial investigating the safety and efficacy of CAT-2003 in patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia, defined as serum triglyceride levels of 500 mg/dL or greater. CAT-2003 is a conjugate of niacin and the omega 3 fatty acid, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), employing Catabasis' proprietary SMART Linker technology.

GOED to Host Omega-3 Pavilion at Fi Asia-China

Due to increasing interest in the region, GOED has partnered with Fi Global to organize an Omega-3 Pavilion at next year's Fi Asia-China show, which takes place June 26-28 in Shanghai, China. There are six positions for GOED members in the pavilion and they are available on a first come, first served basis. Membership Update

December 1 — GOED welcomes two new companies to its membership, Stepan Lipid Nutrition and TRB Chemedica.

Joining at the Plus level, the Stepan Lipid Nutrition business unit produces patented, science-based nutritional oils used in the food, nutrition and pharmaceutical industries. The main contact is Robert Bailey, who can be reached at RBailey@stepan.com.

TRB Chemedica International, a Swiss based pharmaceutical company that manufactures the first eye drops with omega-3 fatty acids, has joined at the Plus level. The main contact is Marco Bethancourt, who can be reached at marco.betancourt@trbchemedica.com.

Also, J.W. Carlson and KD Pharma have upgraded their memberships to the Leadership level.
