What are Office Hours?
I have office hours every other Thursday at Smokey Row from 9-11am. I set aside this time to answer people’s questions regarding social media, their websites, general marketing, starting their own business and anything else they want to talk about. FOR FREE!
It’s a great co-working opportunity where you may meet new people and learn more about their business and your own. Office hours are open to anyone who would like to attend.
How To Use Facebook’s New Fan Page Features
If you haven’t visited your businesses Facebook Fan Page recently, go there now. They’ve made several changes:
For the whole article…
Posting as a Brand – Admins can now post throughout Facebook on both other pages and on profiles as the brand
Visuals – Business pages will now feature a panel of five most recent photos across the top of your page
Change Categories – Many businesses set up their Fan Pages using either the wrong category or one that no longer is a good fit for their changing business. For the first time, business pages can now change their category
Featured Likes – A Fan Page can now, for the first time, “Like” another Fan Page
Featured Page Owner(s) – Very useful for pages with multiple voices or owners posting

Suzanne is a Des Moines transplant who has realized the Power of being a Free Agent. Well-versed in many and varied skills, she has a passion for helping organizations and people achieve their potential. Suzanne = wife, traveler, multi-linguist, triathlete and cook.
I initially meet Suzanne through the Unemployed in Des Moines networking group she started. I was instantly inspired by her enthusiasm, initiative and resourcefulness in successfully creating her own consulting business – Contemporary Business Solutions. I recently attended her Social Media Workshop Series which I would highly recommend as a wonderful introductory source to gain instant knowledge in social media. She continues to be a key mentor as I now navigate developing my own consulting business. Her multi-faceted business expertise coupled with her “get it done” attitude proves to be a great resource for both start-up and well established companies.
