In the spirit of giving, we are so excited to give back to our community and partner with Milk + Bookies this holiday season. Milk + Bookies is a nationwide charitable organization that inspires
children to give back by encouraging them to donate books to needy
children, one child to another. We will be hosting their very
first Milk + Bookies store event in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday, December
3rd, 2011 from 11am to 3pm.
At the Pink Olive’s Children’s Holiday Book Drive Party, children are
invited to bring or purchase new books to donate to children who have
none of their own, thereby supporting literacy efforts as well as
inspiring a new generation of philanthropists. Milk and cookies will
be served and there will be story time readings performed by three
very special children’s book authors:
11am - Sally Lloyd-Jones: Author of How to Be a Baby by Me Big Sister
12pm - Brett Helquist: Author/illustrator of Bedtime for Bear
1pm - Caitlin Friedman: Author of How Do You Feed a Hungry Giant?
Milk & Cookies will be served.

In launching our new foundation next year called feedforlife.org, Pink Olive will also
be matching all book donations made that day :). It's never too early to teach your children the idea on giving back. What better time and place to enjoy a good story and spread good cheer?
