Buy Bear Scare Tickets Early (Or Online!) and Save!

Madrona’s spook-tacular fall celebration, Bear Scare, is just one week away! Featuring games, music, pizza, a Haunted House, Pumpkin-Carving Contest, candy crafts, cookie decorating, and fun activities for Madrona bears of all ages — not to mention hundreds of your fellow students decked out in the coolest costumes around — it’s Madrona’s biggest party of the year!
Starting Oct. 21, and continuing throughout the week leading up to Bear Scare on Oct. 25, pre-sales will be available for both tickets and pizza, allowing you to both avoid the lines at Bear Scare, and save money to boot! Tickets are $5 per child if purchased in advance and $7 at the door (adults are free), while pizza (Garlic Jim’s) is $3 for one slice and a drink, $5 for two slices and a drink, or $18 to have a whole pizza ready for you on-site (including gluten-free!). Don’t stress about dinner; instead, let Bear Scare feed the whole family!
Best of all, this year’s pre-order process is easier than ever! Just print and complete the attached flyer and either bring it to school, or send it with your child, the week of Bear Scare, Oct. 21-25. Orders will be accepted before and after school each day — you can even order from your car after school up until the point the final bell rings!
OR, to make it even easier, plan to buy your tickets online! For the first time ever, Bear Scare can accept credit cards (for a $1 additional fee) both in person and online. Either bring your card with you to buy tickets before or after school, or visit this link to make your purchase online.
Finally, remember that 100 percent of the Bear Scare proceeds go right back into our students through MIT programs.
So, don’t wait in line at Bear Scare — make plans to pre-order and save! Flyer is at Order-form-full-page-v2.pdf.

Madrona Kinds Fund Kicks Off October 21st!

On October 21st, we are kicking off our annual fundraiser, Madrona Kids Fund, a campaign to support the work of Madrona Integrated Team (MIT). We won't ask you to sell anything, just pledge to support our Madrona Community.
MIT funds a variety of programs to support our Madrona Community. They provide funding for classroom support materials, student scholarships, student activity sponsorship, volunteer management and support, music program support and so much more. And all of this is made possible by each of you.
Starting the week of October 21st, students will be bringing home their Green Donation Envelopes. Each family is encouraged to give in any way they can. There are many ways to give: a one-time donation, a monthly donation, corporate matching and others. Any donation is appreciated.
Our goal is 100% participation from our Madrona Community - that means every Green Envelope is returned with a commitment to support MIT either through donation or in other ways!
If you have questions, please contact Sean & Jennifer Robinson - MKF Co-Chairs
