MIT Meeting on THURSDAY
The MIT board is doing something a bit crazy and trying out a new day for our monthly meeting. Please join us on THURSDAY, October 10th at 7pm in the Library. Let us know if you like this new Thursday meeting, or if a different day of the week and time are better. Our guest speakers will be a team from the district to discuss the upcoming levy.

Volunteers Needed For Bear Scare!
Our all-new school means an exciting new look for Bear Scare in 2019 — but with the games, activities and traditions you've come to love, it will still take the whole Madrona community to make this fun transition a success!
Madrona’s big Halloween party, Bear Scare, returns Friday, Oct. 25, from 6-8 p.m. All of your Bear Scare favorites are back — including the Pumpkin Carving Contest (with divisions for different grade levels), Haunted House, Trick-or-Treat Street, cupcake walk, cookie decorating, costumes and more — while new games and activities are being added to make the night even more fun for all ages! Plus, all-new decorations and a brand-new layout are sure to make this year’s Bear Scare one of the most memorable yet!
Planning is under way, but we can’t put on this event without YOU. Each year, Bear Scare requires more than 100 volunteers to help during the event, as well as with pre-event organization, donations and ticket sales, set-up, clean-up and more. There is something that each and every one of you can contribute; whether it’s a half-hour to help staff a table during the event (honestly, it beats just standing around trying to keep track of your kids!), donations of goodies in the weeks before, or any of a number of other ways to help.
Go to this link to volunteer, donate, or with any questions or suggestions you may have to make this year’s Bear Scare the best one yet!

Lost & Found
The Lost & Found is currently located in the cafeteria by the double doors to go out to the classrooms. We may move it to near the office when there is a big school event in the gym.
Madrona Children's Theater Needs SPACE
We'll donate unclaimed items before the winter, spring, and summer break to Clothes for Kids, a local charity that helps families in need in our area.
We check for names in each item, and if we see a name we'll try our best to get it back to you. If you are on MIT Facebook page, we'll most likely message you via Messenger. If not, but if we could find out your child's center, we'll probably email your classroom coordinator who then can contact you. If we see no name, there is practically nothing we can do, so please label your child's items, especially if they are prone to losing things. Thank you. Flyer is at IMG_6473.jpeg.
Madrona Children's Theater is gearing up for a new exciting season- watch for this years Musical announcement coming soon!
Our dedicated set building team is once again in need of space to create our amazing set and scenery for the months of January and February next year- do you have an empty double garage/ shop/ warehouse space you could donate? It would be a great tax write off!!! Please contact Karen @this email with any questions or offers!
