Dear Friends,
Welcome to our e-news communication!
Great things are happening at Abilene Christian University's Brown Library, and this newsletter will keep you up to date on our remarkable students and faculty, initiatives and upcoming events.
The most recent addition to our staff is Mollie Scherer, who will work to advance library initiatives in events, marketing and community relations. Scherer has taken over the library’s social media platforms and implemented this e-news communication. We are so thankful she is here!
Scherer brings 20 years of relationship-building experience to her new position. During her career, she successfully created and implemented fundraising initiatives encompassing strategic planning, annual fund drives and capital campaigns. She comes to ACU from the Dietert Center in Kerrville, where she served as development director.
As we approach the end of the year, I am reminded of God’s amazing grace and how important it is to lift each other up, provide friendship and make a positive impact in the lives of those around us. “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10.
I want to express my gratitude for your service, friendship and support. Thank you! May you have the gift of faith, the blessing of hope and the peace of His love in this season and always!
Dr. John B. Weaver
Dean of Library Services and Educational Technology
