Thank You to all those generous people who donated money to pay for an operation for Ahmed's son.
Layers of Life
During the month of December, Margaret Clifford will be donating the proceeds from the sale of her poetry collection, Layers of Life, to the Micah Projects Christmas Appeal and to SMX.
So buy some books for Christmas gifts while donating to Micah and SMX at the same time. ($15.00 each) A great gift for Christmas!
The bulletin published by ARRCC (Australian Response to Climate Change) this really so worth reading that I suggest you follow this link and see for yourself. You will be pleased you followed the link.
Hey Facebook Fiends!
Or at least those of you who have an account. We love our Community. There are a couple of small ways that you can help us to increase our presence, despite our lack of a shopfront.
- like the St Mary's In Exile page (@StMarysInExile)
- ask your family and friends to like the Page
- share the posts
Current figures are –
St Marys In Exile 3,570 likes, 3,514 follows
With your help, we got the Micah Projects FB Page 6474 likes and 6705 follows. So we KNOW we can get more traction with a little help from our friends.
And you can do this from the comfort of your own workstation, car or couch!
The first two homilies in 2020 will focus on the topic and community members will have the opportunity to share their ideas and understanding of prayer.
We had more suggestions for events that people were prepared to host over the January break. You can see the suggestions from the whiteboard here Download the spread sheet, keep a hard copy to consult and reply to the number given to show your interest. Thanks to those who have volunteered. It is not too late if you missed the whiteboard meeting to volunteer an event for January. Email your idea to Susan email@example.com or Marg firstname.lastname@example.org

Containers for Change
Bring your empty drink bottles to the TLC to support the community and help re-cycling. Make sure the lids are off and they have the 10c on the label. Or drop off yourself and quote SMX scheme number C10207591. Note that many small cardboard and plastic containers are acceptable eg Poppas. Check for 10c sign.
Where can I return bottles?
