Register For 2018 Maryland ACS Meeting

The 2018 Maryland ACS Meeting is set for Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Marriott Inner Harbor Camden Yards in Baltimore, MD. The event will be packed full of opportunities for Continuing Medical Education, networking, and advancing the profession of surgery.
Here are a few important dates to remember:

ACS Leadership & Advocacy Summit 

Registration Now Open
The American College of Surgeons will host the seventh annual Leadership & Advocacy Summit, May 19–22 at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel. The Summit is a dual meeting offering comprehensive and specialized sessions that provide volunteer leaders and advocates with the skills and tools they need to be effective in their roles.
Register by Monday, April 23 to take advantage of the early bird rate!

February 23 Deadline for Leadership & Advocacy Summit Resident Travel Award

The ACS offers a limited number of scholarships to the College’s Resident members who are interested in attending the upcoming Leadership & Advocacy Summit. This scholarship award will cover up to $500 in housing and transportation costs. The award also may include your registration fees, but it may NOT cover food/beverage charges since meals are provided at the conference. You must be a U.S. Resident member in good standing with the ACS to be eligible.
Submission details are available online, or you can contact D’Arcey Johnson at or 202-337-2701 for further information. Applications are due Friday, February 23.

Nominations For ACS Board Of Regents, Officers-Elect
Due February 23

The 2018 Nominating Committee of the Fellows (NCF) and the Nominating Committee of the Board of Governors (NCBG) will be selecting nominees for leadership positions in the College.
Call for Nominations for Officers-Elect
The 2018 NCF will select nominees for the three Officer-Elect positions of the ACS: President-Elect, First Vice-President-Elect, and Second Vice-President-Elect.
Call for Nominations for Board of Regents
The 2018 NCBG will select nominees for pending vacancies on the Board of Regents to be filled at Clinical Congress 2018.

Call For Abstracts And Videos For 2018 Clinical Congress

The Call for Abstracts and Videos for Clinical Congress 2018, October 21–25 in Boston, MA, is now open. You may submit abstracts for the Owen H. Wangensteen Scientific Forum or videos for the Video-Based Education Sessions online. The last day to submit abstracts and videos is Thursday, March 1 at 5:00 pm (CST).
