WHIMA Board of Directors Meeting Highlights

The WHIMA Board of Directors met for their regular monthly meeting on September 19!

Christine Williams, RHIA, WHIMA Past President, has been elected as AHIMA Speaker-Elect and will take office January 1, 2019. As a result, Christine will not be able to complete her term as WHIMA Past- President. The Board of Directors approved having Christine resign effective immediately so that a replacement could be appointed and have ample time to orient to the Past-President responsibilities prior to January 1 when the Association becomes very active with Annual Conference, review and update of Bylaws and Policy and Procedures, WHIMA election, etc.

The Board of Directors appointed Victoria Wolf, RHIT, CPHQ to fill the vacancy of Past-President. Vicky was a Past President of WHIMA in 2011-12. She has served the Association and volunteered as Editor and Team Leader for The Link Newsletter for numerous years. She was a key member of the Task Force for Team Restructure and is currently the Communication Liaison for WHIMA. Welcome, Vicky to the WHIMA Board of Directors!

Thank you, Christine, for your service to WHIMA in many different roles, including President-Elect, President, Past President, and Interim Executive Director. Your dedication to WHIMA is greatly appreciated! WHIMA is honored to have you, one of our very own members and leaders, be in this leadership position at the national level.
