Library hosts Andrea Lucado workshop
The Department of Language and Literature hosted Andrea Lucado (’08), daughter of Max Lucado (’77), in April for a reading of her first book, English Lessons, and workshop events discussing The Joy of Freelancing. One of Lucado’s workshops was held at the Brown Library, where she shared the benefits of doing what she loves and how what she has learned can be applied to other fields.
During her visit to ACU, Lucado and her parents visited the library’s Special Collections floor to view the Max Lucado’s archives and to see the plans for a new exhibit case.

Farewell to library staff members
We’re sad to say goodbye to two staff members.
Jasmine Hoover joined the ACU Library team in August 2015. During her time here, Hoover supported new ways to visualize information, expanding our use of Geographic Information Systems software on the campus and technology in the Innovation Foundry.
Jana Davis has long emphasized helping students, faculty and staff with their information needs, and she has always done it with a genuine smile. Davis is retiring after 28 years at ACU Brown Library, where she has worked in the areas of Government Documents, Circulation, and Technical Services.
We will miss you both! Read more.
