School of Chemistry Cocker Lecture 2019

This year, the 2018 RSC Centenary Prize and School of Chemistry's Cocker Lecture will be held by Professor Jacqueline K. Barton, who will deliver a lecture on "DNA Signalling".


The evening will begin with a reception in the lower ground floor concourse of the Arts Building in front of the Edmund Burke theatre followed by the Cocker and RSC Centenary Prize Lecture from 19:00 to 20:00 in the Edmund Burke Theatre.

Jacqueline is the John G. Kirkwood and Arthur A. Noyes Professor of Chemistry and Norman Davidson Leadership Chair of the Division of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology. She is the recipient of the 2019 National Academy of Sciences (NAS) Award in Chemical Sciences for the discovery of long-range DNA-mediated charge transport.
