Legislative Town Hall, TONIGHT, Monday, January 28, 6–7:30pm, Trail Ridge Middle School, 1000 Button Rock Dr, Longmont. With State Representatives Jonathan Singer (HD11), Sonya Jaquez Lewis (HD12) and State Senator Mike Foote (SD17), who will be talking about their plans for the 2019 session, listening to your concerns, and giving you a chance to get to know them.

ANOTHER BILL TO WATCH: The Youth Wellness Act (HB 19-1032) that would require schools that offer sex ed to incorporate conversations about consent and healthy relationships, clarify that sex ed must not endorse a particular religious ideology, must not shame or stigmatize students, and must be inclusive of LGBTQ youth. HB 19-1032 will be heard on Wednesday, January 30, 1:30pm by the House Health and Insurance Committee, Colorado State Capitol, 200 E. Colfax, Denver. LAD SPECIAL MEETING: THIS Wednesday, January 30, 6:30–8:30pm, Front Range Community College, Classroom Bldg, 2121 Miller Drive (east side of Miller Drive), Community Room, Longmont. We are calling this special meeting to give everyone a chance to get to know CANDIDATES for the Boulder County Democratic Party (BCDP) Leadership positions (Chair, Vice Chairs, Treasurer & Secretary). This meeting will also give Precinct Leaders who cannot attend Re-Org a chance to meet and assign proxy holders (Please bring your Official Call, which includes a proxy form). The Central Committee (which includes all Precinct Leaders in Boulder County) will vote for BCDP Chair positions at Re-Org (details below) this Saturday, February 2.

Boulder County Democratic Party (BCDP) Biennial Re-Organization Meeting, Saturday, February 2, 12:15pm (Registration), 1pm (Call to Order)–4pm. Silver Creek High School, 4901 Nelson Road, Longmont. Open to the public, but only members of the Central Committee (which includes all Precinct Leaders in Boulder County) can vote on Chair, Vice Chairs (Internal, External & Capacity), Treasurer and Secretary positions to lead our county party. If you are a Precinct Leader, you should have received an Official Call by now (which includes a proxy form).
