I Praise You Lord:
- 817 People joined us for our annual Family Fun Day Memorial Weekend and it was a great way to begin another summer of ministry.
- The response to our latest appeal letter has been strong and we are now just $81,475 away from being fully funded on the ARC project.
- With the economy booming it is often hard to recruit the summer staff needed to run the camp, but God provided, and we are in full swing.
- Program Director Elliott Ackerman worked hard to provide campers with a new free-time activity called Gopherball and it is a big hit with campers. It is like human fooseball.
- The Red Canoe has new software and it has made it possible to assimilate more campers in an efficient way. The new Red Canoe is being received well.
- The old Sweet Shoppe is now officially the Sweet Suite and it is a pretty great little efficiency cabin being used primarily for our Jump Start speakers in the summer time.
- As part of the landscaping of the ARC, a large group of trees were removed between the Blue Jay cabin and the new Sweet Suite. This opens up the area once known as our basketball court for large group activities. From that group of trees, we have a very large reserve of rough sawn wood that can be used in future building projects.
- As of June 21st, guest group attendance is up by 26% over 2018. It is great to see God working on our grounds even as we were training our summer staff.
