3rd time's a charm!

This is the 3rd time I have tried to get this email out.  The first time was as my latest shipment arrived and the Christchurch earthquake struck.  Although I am now based in Wellington, Christchurch is my home town and a lot of family and friends live there.  Thoughts of newsletters faded as we watched the news and waited to hear from family.

The second time the Japan earthquake and tsunami brought more devastation.  My major suppliers are from Japan, but fortunately they are in southern Japan and have been spared the direct impact of the earthquake and tsunami.

But to those of you have been affected by these events my heart goes out to you.

So holding my breath and tempting fate I carry on....

At the end of February I received a huge shipment of new fabrics which are now all in the store, as well as the return of some old favourites.

To make way for the new fabrics I am having a bit of a clear out of end of bolts and remnants so please check in the sales section for the opportunity to pick up some bargains and some great fabrics that are going, going g..o..n..e!

Where to start... there are so many, Alexander Henry's 2D Zoo is here, at long last, this was ordered back in October so it has been a long wait.  I love it and have used it previously in quilt making.

New fabrics by Melody Miller are very retro and funky and are proving to be very popular (must order more).

The new echino range is in and I have included some laminated fabric,  nylons and some extra wide fabrics.

There are a number of prints by Monaluna just in from Robert Kaufman.

Moda Wool – For all the sheep in New Zealand it is often difficult to find a decent felt or wool to use for your craft.  These 100% wools by Moda can be used in applications that call for felt, and it has a fabulous feel to it.

Don't sew?  Don't have time?  Want that professional finish?  Now you can choose the fabric and we will make the cushion for you.  There are standard sizes in the store but we are happy to make a cushion to your specifications, please email us.

I am pleased to stock a fabulous range of coloured Bakers' Twine.  This eco friendly twine is great for cooking, making your parcels look extra special, scrapbooking and lots of crafts.  There are 8 amazing colours to choose from.

If you are in Wellington and would like to see the fabrics in the thread, I do sell at a number of markets.  I have added a page on my blog with upcoming market dates and will update this on a regular basis.  I am booked for the follwing markets:
