|1st BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
It is Stitchbird Fabrics 1st Birthday and I am celebrating by hosting a giveaway over on my blog. If you would like to win some free fabrics please visit my blog and leave a comment www.stitchbird.blogspot.com
Thank you to everyone who has supported me in my first year of business, I love every minute of what I do and working with wonderfully creative people- thank you.
There are a number of new Saffron Craig fabrics in stock – Bird Spot is just so sweet and the Day Owls are a great coordinate for all the lovely owl fabrics. I am also pleased to have Owls in Trees back in stock, this fabric sold out very quickly last time.
Kona Cotton Solids – these are the "go-to" solid colours for modern quilters, a high quality fabric with a huge range of colours. I would like to build up a range of these and have ordered Coal, Ash and Lime. There are so many colours to choose from but if you have a particular favourite please let me know.
I am also pleased to stock and support Aunty Cookie (aka Shannon Lamden’s) range of hand printed fabrics, panels and totes. Check out the Red Cookies and also the fabric panels they are amazing, the totes would also make a perfect gift for a quilter or crafter.
More Organics – I fell in love with several of the Free to Grow fabrics and have ordered these, one of the designs has already arrived and the rest should be in stock soon.
Urban Circus by Laurie Wisbrun and June Song by Alexandra Henry – who could resist, these fabrics are on their way and are expected into the country in November.
Stitchbird Fabrics has been very fortunate in having a number of fabrics featured recently in magazines. The October NZ House and Garden featured one of our lightshades in Echino Quiet Ground and the November issue a cushion in Bird Song Green, these fabrics are seriously WOW. Plus keep an eye out for December’s issue of NZ House and Garden.
Thanks also to NZ Homestyle who featured the Co Co Chi fabrics in lime and purple and also Saffron Craig’s Dandelion Circles.
I will be at a number of markets in November and December and would love to see you.
Fabric–a-Brac – Saturday 13 November 2010
Fabric a Brac is organised as a fund raiser for Mary Potter Hospice, so not only is at any opportunity to buy some great fabrics and sewing notions, both new and vintage, you are also supporting a wonderful charity.
