The National Collaborating Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCCID) is one of six National Collaborating Centres for Public Health funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada. The six centres form a network across Canada, each hosted by a different institution and focusing on a different topic in public health. NCCID is hosted by the International Centre for Infectious Diseases (ICID), located in Winnipeg.

Recent documents on our website include a Purple Paper discussing the Settings Approach in Public Health: Thinking about Schools in Infectious Disease Prevention and Control, in which authors Jami Neufeld and the NCCID's own Joel Kettner examine schools as a setting for infectious diseases in this country.
In a two-part series on Lyme disease, here and here, researcher Simon Habegger discusses the epidemiology of disease, the latest case definitions, and how the condition is now treated.
Coming soon on our web site are three evidence reviews. The first is on Addressing the Dimensions of Sexual Health: A Review of Evaluated Sexual Health Promotion Interventions. The second is on the experience of Canadian healthcare workers associated with vaccination against pandemic H1N1 influenza. And the third is on their experiences learned from Canada's response to pandemic H1N1 influenza.
