As we approach the end of an amazing 2012 and look forward to the start of 2013, it's a good time to reflect on all the blessings we've received and the work we've accomplished over the past year.
As you may know, 2012 brought wonderful changes to my life, both personally and professionally. I married my lovely wife, Ruth, on the 5th of May and I am now living full-time in England. Our home is in Leicester
, about 100 miles north of London, which conveniently serves as our base for many travels around Europe and beyond.
This past October, I and my new business partner David Leibowitz hosted our very successful tour of northern Italy. Leading a group of 12 photographers and non-photographers alike (all Americans!), we explored Piedmont and Liguria for 13 incredible days. Our participants made many stunning photographs and I am working on updating our Italy Photo Tours web site to present galleries of their work. And in 2013, we're hosting two
photo tours in Italy; a link to details is below. We hope you'll join us!
I'm also leading photo tours in the UK beginning in 2013; my tours in Europe are the only group workshops I'm currently planning for next year. However, I am available for remote, one-on-one training, consulting and mentoring (see special link below). Please contact me for information about the UK tours or if you'd like to purchase training for yourself or a loved one.
In 2012 I released two new books: one about Lightroom 4, a how-to software manual and the third in my popular series on Adobe's powerful photo editing software; and Astratto Uno
, my first all-photo book and also my first self-published title. Information about Astratto Uno is below; you can find all my other books on Amazon and other retailers.
This past year has also brought exciting changes for my photography and art business. We are now providing specialized art and imaging services for commercial and corporate clients. In particular, I'm partnering with interior designers to produce custom artwork (called "bespoke artwork" here in the UK!), plus wall treatments and many other décor solutions tailored for the hospitality industry. Our web site and blog have been updated to reflect these changes and much more about this will be announced in early 2013.
Of course, at the core of all my business activity is my photography and mixed media fine art. 2012 was an extremely productive year for me; I welcome your visit to my web site at NatCoalson.com
to see lots of new work -- both abstract and travel-related -- with much more in progress that will be released early next year.
With so much to be thankful for, I am also very grateful for your readership of my newsletters and your ongoing support. Ruth and I, and our growing team of associates at Nat Coalson Fine Art + Design, wish you a very happy holiday season and a prosperous New Year.
See you in 2013!
