We are pleased to share with you our second Newsletter that will keep you informed about what is being done in Barcelona Center Financer Europeu for Sustainability (BCFE4S), the essential project in the strategy of Barcelona Centre Financer Europeu (BCFE) that, as member of Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S), aims to promote Barcelona as a relevant center for sustainable finance, investment and ESG financing, as well as contribute to the purposes of Europe and the United Nations for an ecological transition and the fight against climate change.

CURRENT EVENTS BCFE4S
The next few days, from 05.25.21 to 05.27.21, the Innovate for Climate 2021 Congress, organized by the World Bank, will take place online. This Congress, due to its broad content and the high level of the participating speakers, provides the opportunity to know the opinion of world experts on everything related to Sustainability and Climate Change.

BCFE4S organizes the workshop "FC4S: International Cooperation of Financial Centers for Climate Action" on 05.25.21 at 15:30 CEST. The Workshop will introduce the achievements of the Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S) Network, its plans for the next years and its links and partnerships with other initiatives to improve connectivity of financial centers and its hinterland economies, including both private and public sectors committed to mobilize finance to address the climate challenges. In particular it will emphasize the priorities and results of spreading sustainable finance in emerging economies.

EFPA España has launched the EFPA ESG Advisor™ Certification, a certificate that offers a complete vision of sustainable finance (ESG) and is aimed at all professionals interested in complementing their certified knowledge and skills and / or obtaining a solid knowledge in this sector , specifically for financial advice and financial planning, acquiring a mark in relation to ESG factors for the distribution of financial products and services, taking into account what it implies and how it is affecting the financial markets.
 
This certificate in Advice on Sustainable Finance is characterized by having European recognition and validity by EFPA and being a certification conceived and proposed for financial advisers and planners.
 
The association does not provide preparatory training for the exams, but it does have accredited training centers, which have been previously evaluated by the Accreditation and Certification Committee. They approve that the program they develop as well as their level of teaching staff and training manual achieve with the training requirements and fulfillment of the programs demanded at European level. Accredited training centers have the EFPA España certification seal and are authorized to use registered trademarks to promote their courses. In Barcelona, ​​the EFPA ESG Advisor accredited training center is the Institut d’Estudis Financers (IEF), which teaches a preparatory course for the EFPA ESG Advisor exams.

PUBLICATIONS
As we already informed you in the last Newsletter, in the run-up to COP26, Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S) published the Sustainable Finance Market Update Series. The first edition is already published in the Newsletter April 2021 in Spanish and English, while the second edition is only published in English.

FC4S has published the second edition in Spanish and English!
The three remaining reports in the series will be published soon. Such reports will cover Sustainable Finance in Banking, Sustainable Finance in Capital Markets and Sustainable Finance among Insurance Providers.
