We are pleased to invite you to the conference organized by Barcelona Centre Financer Europeu (BCFE), together with the Department of Economy and Finance of the Generalitat de Catalunya, on public programs to promote investment through loans, guarantees and capital investment, with special emphasis on the new European InvestEU Program.
The event will take place on Thursday, October 27th, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Barcelona Stock Exchange (Paseo de Gracia, 19, Barcelona) and will include the participation of experts from the European Commission, the European Investment Bank, the European Investment Fund, the Catalan Institute of Finance (ICF) and Avalis, as well as representatives of financial entities and investment funds.

08.09.22 - First Meeting Gender Working Group
|
|
|
Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S) recognizes the importance of addressing gender disparity and enhancing the role of women in the journey to a net zero future and is proud to start working with its members in a dedicated Gender Working Group (GWG) to achieve a winder impact on this agenda.
This working group is chaired by Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Head of Sustainable Finance, Mercedes Vela Monserrate, and on 08.09.22 the first meeting was held in which the scenario was prepared and a quick vision of the plan was made. Mónica Casado Vazquez, Project Manager of the Barcelona Centre Financer Europeu (BCFE), takes part representing BCFE.

21.09.22 - IEF & BCFE Market Forecast
Forecasts before the possible change of cycle

In this beginning of autumn 2022 we find a certain consensus that we are entering a new economic cycle. It is marked by the confirmation of inflationary tensions, monetary reactions in the form of rate hikes and, of course, the spillover effects of war and sanctions in the form of deglobalizing trends.
We believe that it was an appropriate time to analyze the macroeconomic outlook and its effects on companies and financial markets. Especially to assess the intensity of the foreseeable economic contraction and estimates of possible stabilization horizons and reaction to fiscal and monetary policy measures.

The Department of Economy and Finance of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the University of Barcelona and Barcelona Centre Financer Europeu (BCFE) organized a workshop to help understand the situation of investment with social impact.

|
|
|
The conference was held on 28.09.22 at 17:00 CET at the Barcelona Stock Exchange and was a meeting of specialists who explained how advanced the proposals are, what innovations they see and what are the closest realities of the Social Economy.

Legal risks of the Blockchain and taxation of cryptocurrencies

We celebrate, on Thursday 29.09.22, one more year, a day around Blockchain technology, the IV Blockchain Conference - "Legal risks of Blockchain and taxation of cryptocurrencies", organized by Barcelona Centre Financer Europeu (BCFE) with ACCID.
This time we celebrate it at the Barcelona Stock Exchange and on this occasion we have a wide range of speakers and professionals who, through an introduction and two round tables, helped to better understand the legal risks of Blockchain and cryptocurrencies and accounting and taxation of cryptocurrencies.

On 30.09.22, the conference “Research based on microdata: what does the Bank of Spain offer to the research community?” organized by the Bank of Spain in collaboration with the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Catalan Association of Accounting and Management (ACCID), the College of Economists of Catalonia (CEC) and Barcelona Centre Financer Europeu (BCFE) from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. CET at the Bank of Spain Branch in Barcelona.

Barcelona Centre Financer Europeu (BCFE) attended the Ring the Bell for Financial Education Day on 03.10.22 at the Barcelona Stock Exchange, starring Pablo Hernández de Cos, Governor of the Bank of Spain.

BME joined the "Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy" initiative promoted by WFE and IOSCO, the celebration of Financial Education Day and the "Finances for All" initiative promoted by CNMV and Bank of Spain.

On 04.10.22, the conference “The Bank of Spain Claims Report 2021: The prevention of fraud in private banking transactions” was held, organized by the Bank of Spain at the Barcelona Branch. Barcelona Centre Financer Europeu (BCFE) attended.

FC4S members-only session
|
|
|
To facilitate the exchange of experiences between members, Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S) is organizing sessions just for them to learn about actions, activities and initiatives that other financial centers are carrying out, also offering a space for debate and exchange of opinion.
On 06.09.22, the "Sustainable Finance Observatory" session was held in which the Finance for Tomorrow team presented this initiative. This session explained why it is important for a financial center to be part of the initiative, main challenges and accomplishments. They will also make an update of the internationalization of the sustainable observatory with other initiatives launched by different organisations.

|
The 2022 Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in Casablanca, Morocco, on 20th October 2022, hosted by Casablanca Finance City Authority.
Barcelona Centre Financer Europeu (BCFE) will attend as a member of the collective of international financial centers that work together to achieve the SDGs and the Paris Agreement.
