HIM Awareness

As we transition to our 2020-2021 state board of directors on July 1st, it’s important to keep in mind the upcoming national elections. While we advocate on your behalf at both the state and national level through the HOD, the AHIMA board is our national governance. Healthcare is changing. Technology and data are shaping our futures. Much is at stake. The COVID crisis has been a testament to the importance of data and information governance and quality as well as the need to keep pace and stay involved. Don’t miss our state meeting in July and the SCHIMSS/SCHIMA state advocacy meeting TBA.

See our current AHIMA board here. See the upcoming open positions here. There are 4 national board positions open. Do your homework when the candidates are announced. Let’s not lose our voice in SC. All active members are eligible to vote. Exercise your right. Let’s also work towards getting SC leaders on the national ticket in the future.

2020 SCHIMA Annual Meeting & Exhibit

Currently, SCHIMA has no plans to cancel our annual meeting in July. We are monitoring the impact of COVID-19 and all advisories from state and national authorities and will comply. If we do need to cancel or adjust the date of our meeting, we will provide regular updates over the coming months. Please note our current cancellation policy. We will consider virtual options if necessary.
