The annual application period is open for the Fall 2021 cohort in Health Information Management at Portland Community College! Are you looking for an AAS degree program? Do you like healthcare but you don't want to take care of patients? This may be the field for you! Managing their medical records, work with electronic health records, learn medical coding, and more!
The program is fully online with a required 40-hour directed practice experience at the end of the program which may be on-site or remote, depending on the options available at that time.
We offer transcript credit for coding certifications and credit by examination for experienced HIM professionals.
We have a 90-100% first-time pass rate on the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) exam with our graduates. Click here to learn more!
