Update on the 2020 PHIMA Annual Conference

Submitted by Margie Stackhouse, RHIA
PHIMA President

The PHIMA Executive Committee met last week to discuss the options for the Annual Conference scheduled for August 24-25, 2020. PHIMA wants to keep our members safe, and due to the continued COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions, the Executive Committee voted to make the PHIMA 2020 Annual Conference virtual. The dates will remain the same: August 24-25, 2020.
Stay tuned for more information regarding registration and access to the speaker presentations and the Exhibit Hall details. We understand that many of you enjoy the interaction with other members, speakers, and vendors, but the safety of all is of the utmost importance. A positive outcome of this will be the opportunity to earn up to 25 CEUs for full registrants. The in-person meeting would only allow for 13 CEUs.
PHIMA is looking at this as an opportunity to rise above and still be able to provide for our members. We hope you will join us for this new and exciting adventure of utilizing technology to sustain during this challenging time.
Please save the date for the PHIMA 2021 Annual Conference which will be held in Lancaster, PA at the Wyndham Resort and Conference Center on April 26-27, 2021.
Thank you all for your understanding and support. We hope you will be able join our first virtual annual conference! More information will be coming soon regarding registration and the advantages of the virtual meeting.
