This year’s Fall Conference is all about navigating the current of HIM transformation.  Key note speaker Sarah Stokes, founder of The Juicy Good Life, opens the conference and will share ways in which we can build a better life and a better career.  The conference also offers a number of hot topic sessions including: informatics, cybersecurity, SNF reimbursement, coding and CDI. Learn about the regulatory, billing and privacy framework around telehealth services, the key areas of focus during an on-sight Joint Commission survey and efficient ways to track incomplete documentation. Have you ever wondered about non-traditional roles in HIM? Attend track 2’s afternoon session to find out! Learn how one facility ensures that HIM retains an active role within the electronic medical record world by broadly defining HIM. This year’s Fall Conference offers a Student track that will discuss the benefits of being an AHIMA/WHIMA member and familiarize students with the many resources available to members.

Coders: We Want Your Input

AHIMA is seeking coding professionals to participate in a research study by completing a survey to investigate inpatient and outpatient medical coder productivity. Participants must be medical coders who spend at least 50 percent of their time coding and are aged 18 years and above.
This study assesses productivity for coding in outpatient and inpatient settings and evaluates factors affecting productivity, such as interruptions of other tasks, the use of supportive technology, and work setting. Thank you in advance for your valuable insight.
