A Word from Williamsons

October 2016

Here and there —

Barrie spent most of the month of September in the Philippines, mentoring and encouraging missionaries in three interior locations, and strategizing with leadership teams in Manila. At the same time he was there, some typhoons were also there. We’re very thankful the Lord kept the typhoons from interfering with Barrie’s airplane and helicopter flights. Thanks for praying!

If you want to eat again, you'd better help with the dishes!

After just four days at home he went to Redding California and I was able to go with him. :) Barrie spoke at Redding Christian Fellowship’s Missions conference, and we both enjoyed the warm fellowship. RCF always spoils and encourages us!

This Thursday (Oct. 20) we are flying to Toronto, Canada where we’ll rent a car and drive three hours north. Barrie will be speaking Saturday and Sunday at Rockmills Fellowship Baptist church’s Missions weekend. This is the church (though a different building) where we were married 45 years ago! We’re so thankful for their continued support over all these years!

Unfortunately we have to leave on Monday (Oct 24th) to return to San Diego, because we leave on the 27th for Thailand. This time, Lord willing, I am going too!! Since Jason and Jodi (our daughter) and kids are here in San Diego on “home assignment” until January, they have agreed to be available to help my parents, which enables me to go with Barrie. We will be gone for three and a half weeks. Barrie will be in various leadership meetings, and we’ll both be part of a conference of NTM global leaders.

As we said earlier: “Here and there” —- but not everywhere! We’d love to be able to visit each of you in person, but of course that’s not possible at this time. I was thinking about Heaven the other day — and how wonderful it will be to be able to sit down with you and talk together as long as we want. We’ll never run out of time!

For God to speak through us and make us a blessing to others
For Dad and Mom to stay well while we’re gone
Specfically for Mom’s ongoing pain in her shoulder and Dad’s dizziness
For the Lord’s provision and encouragement for our “kids”
