RBS student Eugeniy Melehov is a former prisoner from a very little town in Volgograd region. Being in prison, he completed four different RBS courses. The correspondence with him was very intense - altogether he has sent us 146 letters. After he was released from prison, he decided to be baptized (Photo). It happened on December 1, 2018. His mother was baptized (Photo) with him. He became a great encouragement to the little congregation he and his mother joined. He shared with us that they asked him to preach one Sunday. He was very uplifted by that. It is an encouragement for us too to see that God’s Word by means of correspondence courses reaches out hearts of people regardless of where they are.

Two new books “Early Christians Speak. Lectures by Everett Ferguson” (Photo)and “Background of the New Testament. Lectures by Ken Cukrowski” (Photo) have been published for the CRCRussia in November. These books are based on the transcribed lectures that were delivered in St.Petersburg, recorded and translated into Russian. We want to use these books in teaching our students. Also, we believe they will be helpful for church leaders and Russian-speaking Christians in general.We are going to distribute these books free of charge.
We thank Dr. Everett Ferguson (ACU) and Dr. Ken Cukrowski (ACU) for sharing their deep Biblical knowledge and experience with us. Special thanks to the Eastern European Mission (EEM) for publishing these materials. EEM printed books for us previously. The last one was the book “Apologetics”, based on lectures of Dr. Jim Baird (OCU). We hope that our cooperation will continue.

We are renewing a website for Russian Churches of Christ. The URL is www.churchofchrist.ru. The website contains latest news and announcements, a brief description of our beliefs, information about several ministries, Christian books and articles that are free to download, the latest issue of newspaper “In Christ”, as well as an archive of all previous issues. You can find free downloadable audio and video materials and free Christian soft there. There is also a map of Churches of Christ locations in Russia.
We are hosting this website to help Russian churches to see a bigger picture of our Christian family and to provide them with resources that can be helpful in their ministries.
