Moneyball (2011) //  Bennett Miller

Head of Cinema Operations: Colin

"For someone who thought Bennett Miller's Foxcatcher was a masterpiece it has taken me a long time to watching Moneyball. You'd probably need convincing that a film about sports data could be so gripping but it is relentless - written by Sorkin after all. Drips with macho competitiveness. Pitt is just right as the jock trying to make it as a maturing GM. The late Philip Seymour Hoffman quietly being the best actor of his generation in a supporting role. And Jonah Hill making that first real jump to serious dramatic actor. Best film I've watched in ages."

Succession  //  Jesse Armstrong

Marketing Officer: Kirsty

"I was hugely excited to see that both seasons of the BAFTA and Emmy award winning Succession had dropped in the UK after much anticipation and boy it did not disappoint. The series follows the lives of the ultra rich Roy family head up by media mogul Logan Roy brilliantly played by Scottish Actor Brian Cox. Although its base is in NYC, Creator Jesse Armstrong (Peep Show) brings nothing short of excellence in dark British humour. With stellar performances all round Succession effortlessly blends satire, comedy and drama with edge of your seat moments. Not one to be missed!"

Lifers // Ed Gamble

"In this 8 part podcast, Comedian Ed Gamble explores the dedication and lifestyles of heavy metal music’s dedicated, life long fans or ‘Lifers’. With a Louis Theroux style documentary tone, each episode focuses on a band or individual and gives you a glimpse into their life and history through a series of short interviews (often set at the individuals home or a sometimes on tour). Whether you dig heavy metal or not, this series is a great way to delve into the topic!"
