The Junior Hollywood Radio and Television Society (JHRTS) is thrilled to present the return of the JHRTS Script Competition launching in May. This year's competition includes new features:
- How to Get Representation workshop
- Writers Group Program for members and non members to gain access to a community of fellow writers, exchange constructive critique of one another’s work, and network. Applications are now closed.
- JHRTS Scholarships reserved for people from underrepresented backgrounds (including but not limited to people who identify as BIPOC, AAPI, LGBTQIA+, and/or as a person with a disability) and who may lack the financial means to cover JHRTS' membership fee. The scholarship is for a one-year membership to JHRTS. Current members are not eligible to apply. Learn more HERE.

This past month HRTS Associates LA issued our first newsletter highlighting some of our upcoming events as well as ways for members to become involved. We also hosted an engaging panel on Kids Programming in 2021, which looked at how kids content is evolving and responding to the ever-changing world around us. Coming up we'll be announcing our next Breakfast with a Boss event as well as some exciting events to kick off the Summer!

In March HRTS Associates NY brought in the Spring with a virtual mixer packed with members excited to network and mingle. Associates NY has a plethora of amazing events in store for April. We are excited to launch an ongoing series on IP and the development process, “From This to That”, with the first marquee panel on "The Business of Book To Screen”, on April 14th curated and moderated by our board member, Haley Hamilton. Later in the month, on April 28th, Associates NY will be hosting a panel on mergers and acquisitions in the media conglomerate era, hosted by another board member, Will Parks.
