Thanks to you we've been providing miracles of hope and healing for our Rwandan orphans for almost three years now.
This holiday season I am so excited to tell you about more miracles of giving and receiving we're working on for our Holiday Miracle Fund.
Imagine you are 17 years old living in one of the poorest orphanages in Rwanda because your parents were murdered in the genocide. Your school is located in a remote village on the top of a mountain where you live with 549 other orphans, cared for by 10 teachers with no electricity...
Or, imagine you are a 21 year old orphan who has been living in poverty and caring for two to six other children for the last 15 years with no hope of being able to support yourself...
This season your gifts will go toward providing the hope of electricity and employment!
The miracle of electricity at the orphanage:
- $2200 will "light up" the nine classrooms at the orphanage.
- $3300 will "light up" the rest of the rooms including study and worship hall, dining room, and dormitories (the girls sleep four to a bed!).
The miracle of an 8-week craft making apprenticeship program for Orphan Head of Households: - $7 pays one orphan for attending one day of training.
- $35 pays one orphan for attending training for a week.
- $280 pays one orphan for completing the whole program.
- $4500 pays 16 orphans to completing the whole program.
