From our Mentees
As part of our Young Women’s Mentoring program, Mentees are exposed to a behind the scenes look at running a business. Last month the young women visited Salon Secrets Beauty Salon. Here’s what one young lady thought of the experience:

“I went to Nanette’s hair salon called Salon Secrets. I first got familiar with the salon and then began folding towels. After that, I organized some hair products and washed hair curlers. I was busy the entire time and there was much more to do even though I had to leave. I got a lot out of the experience. I learned how much work it takes to run a salon or any kind of business. I also learned you must be organized to stay on top of your business and be productive. Overall, I enjoyed my visit at the salon and got a lot out of the experience.”
