ALERT: Stop the govt. healthcare takeover Pick up the phone and call 4 swing-vote senators right now
Harry Reid's bill that lays the groundwork for the federal takeover of health insurance is 2,074 pages long. That's more pages than a thick dictionary!
H.R. 3590 would cost $2.5 TRILLION over 10 years, greatly expand government control, increase what you pay for health insurance, decrease healthcare benefits and services, and make things much worse than they are today. H.R. 3590 is the opposite of good reform. It does NOT deliver greater freedom, affordability, access, portability, lawsuit reform, or rewards for healthy lifestyles.
The debate on whether to allow the government takeover bill to come to the Senate floor is happening RIGHT NOW. Then, on Saturday, there is an 8 p.m. scheduled vote on "cloture" (to end debate), which would set up H.R. 3590 for a final vote in December or early next year.
Your phone calls TODAY are crucial. If at least one of the four targeted senators below VOTES AGAINST bringing the government healthcare bill to the Senate floor, it will die a well-deserved death and Americans will be protected. This is the goal of this urgent action alert. You can watch the live debate on C-SPAN.
TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION
Call the four swing votes right now, today, Friday. Staffers or machines are there to take your message. No matter where you live, as an American, tell them you "want the senator to oppose H.R. 3590, which lays the foundation for the government control of healthcare. The cost, bureaucracy and negative impact upon our liberties is unacceptable. Stop this bad bill now!"
